The things I write, what's on my mind, The Holy Spirit talks, and I give him time. The things I wrote was the way I feel. At that particular time, it was all for real. My first poem was about he had nothing to do, Kids in Joliet prison, and they didn't have a clue. Life should be about trying to do better. I started out with Ruthie from the first day I met her. I went to Africa, and it was supposed to be a thrill, But the poverty I saw, not in books, it was all for real. A couple of my poems came with a beat. I rapped for Rl Manaway, and he couldn't stay in his seat. I've written poems at funerals and really felt alone. Love ones and friends, I looked around and they were gone. Some are a joke just to see you smile. To see people happy, I'll walk a mile. Others, about my youth, and there's quite a few. I'm sure you will agree that's my point of view. All my writings, some people say they're fine, The things the Holy Spirit says, what's on my mind.

About the Author His mother, Doris, nicknamed him Bubber. He was born in Houston, Texas, in 1942 but raised in Conroe, Texas, where he finished high school. In the earlier part of his adulthood, he spent quite a few years in Los Angeles, California, until his mother decided to move the Chicago, Illinois, and he soon followed in 1966, and this would be the place where his life truly began. In 1876, Poland's leading actress, Helena Modrzejewska, accompanied by family and friends, emigrated to Southern California to establish a utopian commune that soon failed. Within a year Modrzejewska made her debut in the title role of Adrienne Lecouvreur at San Francisco's California Theatre. She changed her name to Modjeska and quickly became a leading star on the American stage, where she reigned for the next 30 years. During this time, she established herself as America's most esteemed Shakespearean actress, playing opposite such celebrated actors as Edwin Booth and Maurice Barrymore. Starring Madame Modjeska traces Modjeska's fabulous life and career from her illegitimate birth in Krakow to her successive reinventions of herself as a star in both Poland and America, and finally to her enduring legacy.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Invaluable, but messy. By RunBAMrunfaster first of all, whoever the anonymous poster of this material is, thank you. you've done me any everyone looking for raw material a service just by having all of this in one place. I do have my reservations though:For one, the formatting is...poor. this seems to be the trouble with a lot of books that have been ported to e-book like this, but I was sort of naively hoping that since this is poetry and formatting is so important, it would be observed here. No such luck unfortunately as lines aren't even close to preserved, something squishing together sometimes being separated one word to a line. I also noticed that in some poems special characters like þ or ð were missing and while I can forgive the line formatting, and missing headers, that's absolutely inexcusable as there isn't even modern approximations and the omissions are inconsistent throughout. In one of the riddle poems, number 47, for instance, the word moððe (moth) is just "moe." OE spelling was fluid but not THAT fluid!Bottom line, a good resource what it is and almost worth the $3 I paid for it but if you're going to post something like this, give it a proofreading and try and preserve your lines. Anybody looking at this, it's useful, but double check everything you read.

This by itself is considered a great success for this author since the orders are only made by the immigrant farsi speaking population. Moniro Ravanipour is the pioneer of magical style of writing in farsi. An enchanted world of perplexity with high ethics, lyrical elegance and quick wit. A world where one wishes to enter and experience the moving and tender passages.

By Amazon Customer Moniro Ravanipour Novelist and short story writer is my favorite author. Moniro Ravanipour was born in Booshehr in 1952. To the point I know, She has had eight books published in Iran. Her story "Satan's Stones" was selected for the groundbreaking anthology of Iranian literature, Strange Times, My Dear. Also her novels in Farsi are The Drowned, Heart of Steel, and Gypsy by Fire.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Love is a very difficult subject to breach in poetry ... By Nancy A Edwards I have read two of the poems in this book with English translations and I eagerly await translation of the remaining poems. Love is a very difficult subject to breach in poetry without the use of clichés. Moniro has no problem. She portrays love in such a refreshing and new way that her poetry captivates the reader at once. Her words have a lilting affect and yet, despite the seeming simplicity, her overall message is profound. There is a deep sadness portrayed in this overall message of love which hints at the pain of the human condition. We cannot have or grasp love in its purest sense. Our need for it can rarely be satisfied. Moniro knows this and portrays all the beauty of love paradoxically with all its wantonness and she does this with personal imagery from her own culture as well as universal images from the natural world. I enjoyed both of Moniro’s written works.  I highly encourage anyone interested in the beautiful love poetry to buy this book.

Free PDF Ebook Bottomless: Journey to the Edge, by Christopher Howard

This book consists of several poetic excursions through many colorful landscapes. It starts in a sweltering, clamorous fire, escapes to the dousing cool of the ocean’s edge, detours through a parched desert wasteland, and emerges from the woods near a cliff overlooking a tumultuous sea. From there, one can even descend the steps of Hades and view the world through the eyes of a ghost. Most of the poetry follows rhymed iambic meter in the form of sonnets and stanzas, but some deviate into rhythmical or otherwise interesting forms of free verse. I hope you will enjoy your journey through this work as much as I enjoyed writing it. And remember: don't fall over the edge!

A mystical brew worth experiencing By Teala I will state upfront that I have four poems in this volume, however there are poems from 25 other poets in this collection which I can say have a wonderful mystical flavor worth experiencing. This project took about four years to create - and it was a labor of love through and through. Along with other Chaikhana Poetry forum poets, I participated in volunteer efforts to collect the submissions and help the editors and graphic designer create this melange of spiritually awakened verses. What cannot be quantified in any review is the sacred comradery of the poets from Poetry Chaikhana. Many of these verses were spontaneously voiced in repartees back and forth through the online forum...All the proceeds go to benefit the non-profit Ninash Foundation, which advances literacy in India.

We actually used it as a springboard for discussion at our family Passover celebration. I'm glad that it was taught in my son's school. They did a lovely project with it, that I'm happy to share with other readers. The students were asked to describe the symbolism in a standard seder plate; in the Whipping Man seder plate; and then to create a seder plate using their own family heirlooms and explain the symbolism regarding their own choices.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great on paper, amazing on stage By Dennis Aron The last day of the Civil War was on the first night of Passover. What better day to celebrate the freeing of slaves in the south than to commemorate the freeing of the Jews from Egypt? The irony and horror of the former black slaves of a southern Jewish family observing the seder with the son of their former(as of that day) is central to this fine play.
