This by itself is considered a great success for this author since the orders are only made by the immigrant farsi speaking population. Moniro Ravanipour is the pioneer of magical style of writing in farsi. An enchanted world of perplexity with high ethics, lyrical elegance and quick wit. A world where one wishes to enter and experience the moving and tender passages.

By Nancy A Edwards I have read two of the poems in this book with English translations and I eagerly await translation of the remaining poems. Love is a very difficult subject to breach in poetry without the use of clichés. Moniro has no problem. She portrays love in such a refreshing and new way that her poetry captivates the reader at once. Her words have a lilting affect and yet, despite the seeming simplicity, her overall message is profound. There is a deep sadness portrayed in this overall message of love which hints at the pain of the human condition. We cannot have or grasp love in its purest sense. Our need for it can rarely be satisfied. Moniro knows this and portrays all the beauty of love paradoxically with all its wantonness and she does this with personal imagery from her own culture as well as universal images from the natural world. I enjoyed both of Moniro’s written works.  I highly encourage anyone interested in the beautiful love poetry to buy this book.

Granger, with digital copies of the other two books. This paperback is a lovely addition to my ever slimmer collection anthologies on paper.

A mystical brew worth experiencing By Teala I will state upfront that I have four poems in this volume, however there are poems from 25 other poets in this collection which I can say have a wonderful mystical flavor worth experiencing. This project took about four years to create - and it was a labor of love through and through. Along with other Chaikhana Poetry forum poets, I participated in volunteer efforts to collect the submissions and help the editors and graphic designer create this melange of spiritually awakened verses. What cannot be quantified in any review is the sacred comradery of the poets from Poetry Chaikhana. Many of these verses were spontaneously voiced in repartees back and forth through the online forum...All the proceeds go to benefit the non-profit Ninash Foundation, which advances literacy in India.

We actually used it as a springboard for discussion at our family Passover celebration. I'm glad that it was taught in my son's school. They did a lovely project with it, that I'm happy to share with other readers. The students were asked to describe the symbolism in a standard seder plate; in the Whipping Man seder plate; and then to create a seder plate using their own family heirlooms and explain the symbolism regarding their own choices.

What better day to celebrate the freeing of slaves in the south than to commemorate the freeing of the Jews from Egypt? The irony and horror of the former black slaves of a southern Jewish family observing the seder with the son of their former(as of that day) is central to this fine play.

Honey had experienced some crazy things in her life and was able to overcome them and still remain a good person with a good outlook on life. The craziest thing was her relationship with her brother and how she allowed him to manipulate her into the weird incestuous relationship they had out of fear that he would revealed that she had killed someone in her youth. Her brother was a mess. He was a serious mental case and abusive. I was glad when he died. I hated how he did Honey. Another confusing thing for me was Honey and Gerald's relationship. I didn't understand how with Honey lifestyle how she chose to date Gerald and hold him down during his stint in prison but I got over it because Gerald did turn out to be fairly decent until he started cheating on Honey. I was sad when Honey was diagnosis as having HIV but after a brief bout of depression she even turned that situation around and decided to live, educate and help as many others in her predicament as possible. I hated that it was not revealed if Gerald was one she caught the disease from. I know that is where she assumed she caught it but my first thought was her perverted brother. It was never really established though because right when she found out was when Gerald was murdered. Now the part that frustrated me was in the end when her dead and cremated brother somehow was not really dead and resurfaced to torment Honey some more. I absolutely hated that it ended like that and felt that was totally unrealistic and unnecessary especially since when he was killed the mother went to identify his body. I would have much rather seen Gerald not be murdered and the story continues with that storyline than to bring a person brought back from the dead.

Honey Honey and more Honey by Gloria Morgan By gloria morgan Mr Moon this book is amazing.I was unsure at first at what I was reading.but then it got me.I was so into it that couldn't put it down.I still wonder who really hurt Honey like that..I think itwas her psycho brother..what happened to Gearld..but on the real HIV is a serious thing.please get educated about it and always ,,always wrap it up..Thanks. Mr.MOON for a great read

This book shows how trust can easily be misconstrued in loving another human being. It's also some things in this books that can be helpful to people who know nothing about or aware of why it's important to protect yourself and your partner whether your in a relationship or not.

The first English translation of this famous poem in the original meter, handsomely illustrated with 15th century woodcuts. Around 1237 Guillaume de Lorris wrote the first 4,000 lines of the Romance of the Rose: an allegorical poem which was intended to be a model and summary of all love affairs. A man has a dream that he is out for a walk on a spring morning and comes upon a beautiful garden. Inside the garden, he sees a beautiful rose. Straightaway, Cupid pierces his heart with an arrow and fills him with the desire to pluck the rose. But the Rose is surrounded by a hedge of thorns, and guarded by Danger, Jealousy, Shame, and Fear. With the help of Fair-Welcome, the Lover kisses the Rose, but then the guardians drive him away, build a palisade around the Rose, and lock Fair-Welcome in a tower. Guillaume de Lorris died before finishing his work, and the world was left to wonder if the lover, trembling with bliss, had ever done more than kiss the rose. Forty years later, however, Jean Clopinel de Meun decided to finish the book. He wrote an 18,000 line continuation into which he poured his Rabelaisian humor, his vast learning, his anticlericalism, and his complete and utter contempt of romance. The resulting work, uniting the Middle Ages' most beautiful love story and their heartiest satire, was one of the most widely read books in Europe for centuries. Despite the Romance's popularity and influence, it is little known in English. Chaucer translated Guillaume de Lorris' portion of the poem, but only completed a thousand lines of Jean's. A complete translation, in the original meter, was made in 1900 by F. S. Ellis, the friend of the pre-Raphaelites and of William Morris. Mr. Ellis' translation is faithful and lively, capturing all the varied moods of the original, from tenderness to broad humor. However, he altered the ending of the book, as it was too bawdy for the tastes of his day. The original Old French text is given in an appendix, and we believe that those who can read it will agree that Mr. Ellis was justified in leaving it thus obscure. This edition is illustrated with 87 woodcuts from a copy printed in 1487. The cover image is from the Kelmscott Chaucer and does not appear in the book.
